The Huts

IAC has a proud history of maintaining a number of huts in the Pilot Wilderness area of the Kosciuszko National Park for over 50 years.

Charlie Carters and Tin Mines are 27 km south of Thredbo, and Cascades is an easier 10 km south.  Teddys Hut is only accessible by an 8km walk from Dead Horse Gap.

The huts are used by bushwalkers and cross-country skiiers as emergency shelters.
