Autumn is here and we have opportunities for Members and their Guests to volunteer at working bee weekends. Get into the mountains, experience them differently and enjoy great company.
IAC/NPWS Snowgum Planting at Smiggins
20-23 March
Join NPWS and IAC as we help replace the snowgums affected by dieback around Smiggins. Last year was a great and rewarding weekend, join in this year. Interested? Please make a booking for the relevant dates via our booking system (it is configured to $0). Key contact - Jono president@iacski.com.
Huts Restoration Weekend
18-21 April
IAC volunteers will be teaming up once again with NPWS Ranger Campbell Young to undertake minor restoration works and general maintenance/earthworks at the Tin Mines Huts site over the Easter break. Starting out from the Cascades car park at Dead Horse Gap on Friday 18 April, we'll be transported to site and camping over 3 nights with a return on Monday 21 April. One of the key objectives of our hut restoration program for Cascades Hut, Teddy's Hut, and Tin Mines Huts is to allow IAC Members an opportunity to enjoy a unique off-the-grid experience that a resort-stay can't match. Definitely a bucket-list experience - fully supported and always in good company! Key contact Jonathan huts@iacski.com.
Maintenance/Food Working Bee
19-25 May
The first part of the week will focus on general maintenance including finishing the loft refresh. The traditional pre-winter food weekend will happen across 23-26 May.
Interested? Please make a booking for the relevant dates via our booking system (it is configured to $0) as this helps plan for each event and record attendance.
Reach out with any questions. Key Contacts Duncan maintenance@iacski.com, and Melissa lodge.management@iacski.com.
